Application
Measuring and monitoring scaffold inclination at construction sites
Scaffolds, which are often seen at construction sites, are constructed to ensure the safety of workers. Scaffolds can collapse if they are not set up horizontally or if they are not firmly fixed in place. Scaffolds can collapse because they were not set up horizontally or were not secured properly.
In addition, according to Japanese standards, the following items must be controlled.
・Slip prevention is required when the slope of the erected walkway to the scaffold (work area) is 15 degrees or more.
・The angle of the ladder should be 75 degrees.
・The angle of the fall prevention device “Asagao” for external scaffolds should be at least 20 degrees to the horizontal plane.
(Note that these angles must comply with the standards of the country in which the construction takes place).
Our separate inclinometers can measure these angles immediately, and if they are to be monitored, the installation of an inclination angle monitoring system will enable continuous monitoring.
