Application

Automobile tune-up, alignment adjustment (camber angle)

About Camber Angle

The angle that indicates how much a vehicle’s tires tilt relative to the ground when viewed from the front is called the camber angle. In principle, the wheels are slightly V-shaped: when the bottom is wider and the top narrower, it is called negative (minus) camber; when the bottom is narrower and the top wider, it is called positive (plus) camber. If the camber angle is not properly adjusted, it can cause uneven tire wear.
Below, we present a case study in which our separate-type inclinometer was used to measure the camber angle and help prevent irregular tire wear.
