Q How can I confirm that the zero point is correct in the field?

A Compare the value measured when the level is placed on a surface plate or the like adjusted near the zero point with the value measured when the level is inverted (180 degrees).

Compare the measured value when the level is placed on a surface plate, etc. adjusted near the zero point with the value when the level is inverted (180 degrees).
If the positive and negative values are opposite each other, it is normal, and if the absolute values are significantly different (e.g., 0.01 degree), it can be judged as abnormal.
